What is innovation looking like in 2019? We got the answer to that question first hand at Innovfest Unbound 2019, celebrating the fruits of innovation together with over 18000 delegates and hundreds of exciting exhibitors. 400+ decorated speakers joined in, taking their turns to give their valued insights on a wide-array of topics. The speaking halls were constantly filled with people – not surprising considering that the keynote speakers were often some of the most influential people in Singapore’s business scene. CEOs, Directors and senior management of well-known companies like Facebook, Mercer, to name a few, were amongst the list of speakers and panelists at the event.
Held over two days (27-28 June) in the sprawling comforts of the Marina Bay Convention Centre, Innovfest brought together the best of innovation in Singapore under one roof.
Organised by NUS Enterprise and Unbound in partnership with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Innovfest is the largest event of its kind in Southeast Asia.
We joined in the festivities this year as an exhibitor! It was a great opportunity to showcase how our HR technologies, together with our flagship social recruitment app Jobs007, work hand-in-hand to make the recruitment process a more effective, cheaper and less time-consuming one.
At the same time, we took the time to meet other enterprising exhibitors, looking to understand more about our startup ecosystem here in Singapore.
There is a lot to be learned simply by speaking with others – for example, we understood more about Virtual Reality systems and their use in retail management simply by talking to our neighbours at Takeji Design.
Learning is a key part of life, and Innovfest was a great place to do just that.
The event’s delegates ranged from all walks of the corporate world, from students to startup founders to investors. We met hundreds of delegates at our booth over the course of both days – including some old friends and partners! Talk about a great coincidence.
We exhibited and presented our full range of services, from our personalised HR Concierge recruitment service, to our backend technology and social recruitment app Jobs007. Our profiling tools, applicant tracking system (ATS) and Jobs007 in particular won us many adoring fans – people would gather round our booth to understand more about these!
It seems though, the process of getting the right candidate and gaining an accurate assessment of the person is something that many hirers desire to improve upon!
In conclusion, we had a great time at Innovfest 2019. As our founder and CEO Sei Wee best puts it, “Thank you for a well organised and meaningful event. We have spent two meaningful days interacting with many leads, potential customers and partners. It has provided us an exciting platform to showcase our products and services to the eco-system!”
