I’m sure all of us want our resume to look attractive so that it would give the employers a deeper impression about yourself, making them ‘wow’ and therefore increasing the chance of you getting hired. If you’re one of those other there that writes a really impressive resume, that’s great! If not, here are some key things that you should always include in your resume.

  1. Contact Information

You should always include your contact information in your resume (Obviously!). This should be the first thing to include! But not too many as well. Having your name, e-mail and just one contact number will be enough!

  1. Education level

It’s best to include when you are writing your resume. Especially when you are fresh out of school. List it backwards with your highest qualification first. Also, include your school/institution as well as what you major in.

  1. Job experience

In addition to your studies, your experience counts too! Having relevant job experience is what most employers want. Having jobs experience means that you would most probably know what to do when there is a problem. It speaks a lot about you!

  1. Skills

Including skills in your resume can help to impress the hirers as well. These skills can also assist in the job that you’re applying. For example, if you’re applying for a position as a programmer, it would help the most if you have programming skills like C# or HTML. You can include skills like languages, basic and advance computer skills and even additional languages that you are fluent in.

  1. Employment History

List it from the most recent job you have and backwards. Also, include your employer’s name and your job position. Do also include your responsibilities. Note: Some companies may also ask to contact your previous employers to learn more about you.

  1. Accomplishment and achievement

Your employers would want to know what you have achieved and accomplished, be it in school or at work. It helps your employers learn more about your strength and decide if your strength helps with the needs of the company and your job opening.
